Chinese Academy provides educational alternatives
to study Chinese language and culture on weekends
for students of San Mateo, Foster City and its
neighborhoods.
It offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Prospective student age ranges from 5 to 16. It also
offers classes for adult Chinese language learners.
The academic programs are based on Chinese Pinyin
system (Pu-tong-hua) and Simplified Chinese
characters, which are the official governmental
pronunciation and written form in the People’s
Republic of China, Hong Kong and Singapore. N. B
Chinese Academy is the only educational institution
that provides such programs in San Mateo area.
Second Language Acquisition process, background
factors, standard based curriculum and assessments
are its pedagogical principles and classroom
applications. Teachers' expertise is not only on
knowledgeable Chinese literacy and cultural
background but also on differentiate methodologies
and interactive teaching strategies.
N. B Chinese Academy runs on year-round school
calendar. Each school year starts on September and
ends on June. School sessions are based on public
school district calendar.  Chinese language class
sessions is held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on each Sunday.
